During a dialogue from Mars with Dr. Blake, the acronym "OBE" is incorrectly interpreted as "Overtaken by Events". government agencies, including the intelligence community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official acronym for "OBE" is "Events Overcome".. The opening credits show the characters and scenes of the series interspersed with mirrored panes.

Former CIA counterintelligence director James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “poet-spy”, described the intelligence game as a “Desert of Mirrors”, a phrase borrowed from a poem by T.S. Eliot called Gerontion (the name in Greek means “little old man”, and the poem is an internal monologue that tells the views and impressions of an elderly man describing Europe after World War I through the eyes of a man who lived most of his life in the 19th century). In the world of intelligence, in search of truth, it is difficult to distinguish between reality and its reflection, it is an illusion, as if you were in a hall of mirrors. I have to say I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau a couple of years ago and honestly it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever watched.
You won’t regret it
Nothing has come close to that before. There’s a correlation between the two series, apparently it was mentioned that it was "influenced" by it, but tbh I wasn’t expecting a similar plot. Don’t get me wrong, the series so far is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t already seen in the French version. It’s too early to tell how it’s going to turn out, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t watched The Bureau to watch it.
You wouldn’t watch them while riding a bike on an indoor trainer
After Fassbender played a professional killer in David Fincher’s The Killer and I saw that he was in the cast, I knew right away that he was a great choice for the role. These kinds of shows actually require a certain amount of concentration while watching them, so that you can follow all the characters and the little details about them. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s these character traits and the complex personal struggles of the characters, and the slow build-up of tension, that I think makes them great. These kinds of shows that you either like or you don’t like, there’s no middle ground.
